Clare Caulfield is an Artist & Printmaker who graduated from Staffordshire University in 2000 with a First Class Honours degree in Design: Surface Pattern. Since then Clare has continued exhibited throughout the country including outlets such as CCA Galleries and The Crafts Council Gallery Shop in London.
Much of Clare's work documents her travels to cities including New York, London and Venice, and most recently this new collection of work on scenes within Bristol & Bath. Brunel's famous Suspension Bridge and the Georgian buildings occupied by the interesting boutiques and cafes of Clifton Village are captured within Clare's highly individual drawing style.
Drawing has always been a very important part of Clare's work. She is passionate about recreating the spontaneous lively drawings taken from her sketchbook in order to produce these quirky screenprints on canvas.
Although in an edition of 25, every canvas is a unique
one-off piece. Each one is hand-painted in acrylic
and then the linear drawing is screenprinted by hand
over the top.
