Polyurethane (P.U.) Art was established in 2001 by Steve Graham, an Art graduate who lives and works in the Lake District. Steve used his artistic flair combined with an interest in experimentation to pioneer the unique process that is P.U.Art.
By utilising the flowing consistency of Polyurethane and the vivid colours that can be mixed from dye pigments, Steve has created an interesting and unusual artform. Once applied, the design reacts to produce a textured (and durable!) painting.
Steve discovered his artform whilst working for an offshore company. Polyurethane was the main ingrediant in the castings the company produced to protect cables from the sea and other elements. To Steve it was something else!
