Introducing...
2-29 November |
|

|
|
Introducing
new artists to Fusion, Claire
Burke and Anne
Penman Sweet.
Claire
Burke
Claire’s paintings have an introspective quality;
textural surfaces are juxtaposed with smooth planes
and grazes in the surfaces. The luminous colours and
mysterious rectangles create an aura of presence,
deliberately still and quiet, a meditative play with
space, tone, intensity and subtle hues.
Anne
Penman Sweet
Anne is interested in exploring the mystery of what
lies beyond the known, the visible, the tangible.
Her work is the attempt, through form, to describe
the formless.
Anne
Penman Sweet and Claire Burke will be showing their
work alongside regular gallery artists Henrietta
Stuart, Richard
Corbett, Brian
Elwell and Matthew
Bourne.

|
Mixed
Exhibition
29 September - 1 November |
|

|
|
A
showing of selected works from gallery artists including
paintings by Henrietta
Stuart, Richard
Corbett, Brian
Elwell and Matthew
Bourne.
Also
exhibiting for the first time, from 12th October,
is glass artist Joanne
Mitchell. Joanne brings visual impact into her
work through the use of understated yet striking shapes
and textures. Her work has an aesthetic that goes
beyond function to express the inherent qualities
of glass and engages the senses. Her recent work explores
the tactility and sensuality that can be achieved
using the contrasting properties of both blown and
cut glass. |
|
Matthew
Bourne
1-28 September |
|
|
|
A
solo exhibition of new paintings by Matthew
Bourne, an abstract painter whose primary concern
is the tactile and experimental qualities of the acrylic
paints he uses.
"I
strive for my paintings to become Sublime. To trancend
my own personal anguish in their creation and project
in a shreiking world something silent and ordered." |

Paul Perry's semi-abstract works are about perception,

these moods and emotions in the most basic form –
light, colour and texture – which represent
their fundamental essence.” |
